Need Your Advice – Vote on My Blog Posting Schedule

Posted on November 4th, 2009 by Keith Ferrazzi

Whenever possible, I want my readers to be in charge. You speak, I’ll listen. As a smart man recently said to me, “You want a marketing genius? Ask the market!”

voteHere’s the question: Should I shift from three to two posts per week?

Cast your vote! I'll announce the verdict next Thursday. If 2x receives a two-thirds majority, then every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 a.m. Eastern, you’ll see a new blog post. Otherwise, I’ll stick with three.

Make your YES/NO vote in the “Comments” – and tell me why.

  1. Keith, I missed your presentation at SANG 3 due to travel delays, but look forward to hearing it sometime soon...thanks to Alex for directing me your way! I took a quick poll from our team and we vote for 2 posts per week...hope that helps out and look forward to "connecting" with you soon!

    Thanks,
    Dave

  2. My vote - 2x a week

    LOVE

  3. Twice a week for me. Your posts are always great. I get so many other posts now that I can't read them all.

  4. Keith,

When Alex Mandossian makes a recommendation, I listen very carefully. So credit him with my first visit to your blog.

Being "the world's most connected man" is certainly impressive. But what impresses me more is the wisdom you share that's of such great value. Thank you!

I'm honored to be connected to you via your blog, and you can now my name to the list of people you're connected to...

My "vote": Given that posting to your blog is only one of many ways for you to reach out, I'm guessing that 2x per week is adequate enough for both search engine ranking and addressing the base-line needs/desires of any audience. Those of us who want more from you will still have plenty of ways to get your advice and insights - and, of course, you can use your twice-weekly blog posts to refer us to other ways to stay connected.

  5. My vote is for 2. That will make my viewing more consistent.

  6. I'd say 2, as I'm loving streamlining my time online and maximizing in person contact!

  7. Keith,
when Alex Mandossian makes a recommendation I listen carefully (as Jay and many others), so credit him with my first visit on your blog too and - having heard from you at all.
My vote is for 2, but without having the time to read the ones you did before, at the moment.

  8. Hi Keith,

I say two times per week. When I get too many notifications from my information sources, I stop paying attention. Two seems like a perfect balance for staying connected.

  9. Keith

I had the great pleasure to hear your presentation at SANG and to chat with you and your staff. As an industry insider its hard for me to just let go and get into the moment. You, however, got me involved and focused and I really, really appreciated your story and message.

Now for the matter at hand -- 2X.

    Thanks and best regards.

    Peter

  10. 2x seems like a good regular number, you could do extra occasionally when something compelling comes up.

  11. Twice a week works great for me. Looking forward to your great content.
Alex recommended you to me, so I know I will not be dissapointed.

    peace and blessings,

My vote is for 2x's a week. I find that those who send me something every day often get deleted without being read because they often fill their newletters/blogs with stuff from others.

Avid gathers such as myself have an inbox that fills up quickly and I find I ignore those who come often because they become common. Your information is great and I value your input to improve my life.

  13. it's not what you read, it's what you don't read. keith you help filter by quickly moving your audience to what's important. 3x.

  14. I vote for 2 times a week. I'd read you 5 times a week if you did it, but 2 allows more time for the great ideas to simmer!

  15. 2 times, as we're all so busy.

  16. Alex Mandossian also sent me to look at your Blog. As interesting and insightful as it is I would prefer 2 posts a week. I'm getting so bombarded with information I'm ready to cover my head. I want to look forward to information not duck from it.

I'm a newcomer to your world of value, wisdom and generosity. Would love more, but quality 2x/weekly posts would be plenty to digest and work with.

  20. Hi Keith,
I heard that your presentation at SANG was exceptional. Hope to catch it on video.
I'm one of Alex's students and was directed here by him. I believe that 2 quality blog posts per week would be ideal, especially with the abundance of information coming my way.

  21. Go with 2 per week.
You have great content and 2 will give me time to read before the next one arrives.

  22. 2x per week

  23. Hi
Feeling great to know you and your activity through A.Mandossian.

2X per week as your information are so worthfull.

    Thanks

  24. Charles L. Phillips says:

    Hello,
    How are you doing today???
2x seems like a good regular number, you could do extra occasionally when something compelling comes up.

I look for your post each week...

    Thank you,

  25. Hello,

Does the number of weekly posts really matter?
    What matter is....

    - The quality of information you provide.
    - The market you are in and how you do it.
    - The subject you are working on.
    - Etc...

Having a good writing style will ensure your content will be clearly understood, and ensure you keep your readers' attention no matter how many trime you post.

But, in general two posts a week is a good first step and by the time you can see how many posts you readers like.

  26. I think for many of us, just one good article a month is more valuable and insightful than 100s.

Personally if you can do 2 a week, that are short, punchy and make the impact I know you can, then that would give a good rhythm and be able to fit into a routine.

You audience is split into different types, and they will want different things.

As Alex is always saying.. Be Productive.. so.. what would work best for you, what style / timing would you most want..

Yes watch the market, but as a Market Leader, you can dictate your pace to some degree.. whether it works.. you'll have to test based on what success means to you..

The other thought I have is that any blog post you have.. if you construct them well, and title / catagorise them usefully.. over time becomes the content / resource..

Blog posts aren't read chronologically.. so perhaps think of designing the whole as well as just updating with what's new

  27. Dear Keith,

Ever since you came to our company and did a speech on the book "Never Eat Alone". I became your loyal fun. I love to read your posts on your bolg. Those tips you gave are life changing. I wish I could read more and learn more. However, I need time to practice your teaching and need time to digest in between all the daily affairs. So, I prefer two times update per week.

    Thank you very much!

    Ellen
